Project S.A.F.E. Shooting Sports
Project SAFE (Shooting Awareness, Fun and Education) uses shooting sports to teach many valuable life skills. Project SAFE provides youth a place to develop a sense of belonging, learn teamwork in a safe environment and increase concentration skills. Safety and the responsible use of firearms and archery equipment is a primary goal. All teams are led by staff and volunteers who are trained coaches. Please see information below for each team.
*Typically these clubs have a ton of interest. Membership is not guarenteed and teams are limited to ensure there is a safe number of youth to trained coaches.*
Archery
Interest meeting will be held on September 2nd, 2026 at 6pm at the Extension Office.
Practices held every Thursday from 7pm-8:30pm starting September 10th, 2026. Two competitions youth can attend, one in January and one in May.
Dues: $75 per person

Practices will be held every other Monday at 6pm at the Extension Office. There is a District competition in April 2027 with potential to attend the State level competition.

Shotgun
Practices will be on Saturdays at Griffin Gun Club starting in February 2027 and going until May 2027. There are multiple competitions youth can attend.
Dues: $150 per person for Modified Trap
