Project Achievement

Project Achievement empowers young people with skills for a lifetime. Students choose a project area of interest, research the topic, and write and present a presentation. Youth develop leadership, creativity, public speaking, record keeping, and other skills.

Cloverleaf (4th-6th graders)

Projects for Cloverleaf level consist of a 5-6 minute presentation on any topic of the 4-H'ers choosing. There are tons of categories to choose from and 4-H'ers need to make sure their topic is more specific within their category. 4-H'ers will create posters, put their speech on note cards, dress professionally, and they can bring props as long as they follow to Code of Conduct (no weapons or live animals). Youth will share their presentations to judges and compete against other youth in their category. Those who place 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th at the county level will move on to the district competition.

Junior & Senior (7th-12th graders)

With our Junior and Senior level competitors, the competition turns into a weekend and there are added components to the competition. Presentations should be longer, 10 minutes for Juniors and 12 minutes for Seniors. They will also have to complete a Portfolio and submit it before the competition. Portfolios are resumes of what the 4-H'er has done for one calendar year within their chosen category. Staff will help youth create their Portfolio during the fall.

For rules and category information, check out the Georgia 4-H Website and select either "Junior Project Achievement" or "Senior Project Achievement".
