Horse Club

Henry County 4-H Horse Club is open to all youth in public, private, and home school  grades 3rd-12th. Our club offers plenty of hands on experiences with horses as well as exciting opportunities to participate in state events which include:

  • Horse Quiz Bowl
  • Hippology
  • Horse Judging
  • State 4-H Horse Show
  • State Horse Project

The 4-H Horse Program is one of the most exciting and enjoyable facets of Georgia 4-H, a youth development program offered by the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Ownership of a horse is NOT required to be in this club.

Our goal for Horse Club is to create a positive and friendly community for 4-H'ers to come together to share in their passion for horses! Our club will have SOME riding experience but our main focus is to learn more about a variety of different equine related topics through a series of fun and educational activities. These topics include but are not limited to:

  • Safety
  • Anatomy/Conformation
  • Tack
  • Breeds
  • Health
  • Performance

Club fee: $50.00

Meeting Times: 6:30-8:30 p.m. @ the Henry County Extension Office
