Richmond County 4-H Mini-Booth Contest Rules & Form

Attach the completed entry form to the back of your poster.

4-H teachers will pick up posters from schools October 2 through October 4. Be sure to bring yours to school by October 2.

You may drop off completed posters at the Richmond County 4-H Office by October 4 to be displayed for the poster contest at the fair.

*Must have completed entry form on the back of poster.

Spend the Day with 4-H!

Richmond County 4-H Teen Leaders and County Council Members are invited to attend "Spend the Day with 4-H", Tuesday, October 10. Participants will meet at 9:00am at the Georgia-Carolina State Fair grounds to help prepare the 4-H displays for the fair. Then, transportation will be provided for participants to travel to the Richmond County 4-H office for lunch and to work on your District Project Achievement portfolio. Lunch will be provided by Richmond County 4-H. Participants will arrange pickup from the Richmond County 4-H office when the DPA portfolio workshop ends at 2:30pm.

Weekend in the Classic City October 21-22, 2023

Registration Deadline: October 9

Registration Cost: $105

Richmond County high school 4-H'ers are invited to attend Weekend in the Classic City, October 21 - 22, 2023. In conjunction with Georgia Collegiate 4-H Chapters, this event allows youth to gather a firsthand experience of UGA campus and higher education. This opportunity is open to any 9th-12th grade 4-H member in the 2023-2024 school term. There is a registration cost of $105 that will cover lodging at Rock Eagle 4-H Center, lunch on Saturday, dinner on Saturday at a UGA dining hall, breakfast on Sunday, transportation from Richmond County to Rock Eagle 4-H Center and transportation to and from the University of Georgia, plus snacks and a T-Shirt. Register online or at Richmond County 4-H office by October 9, 2023.

Junior Conference, November 11-12

Registration fee - $100  Registration deadline is October 31

Richmond County 6th-8th grade 4-H'ers are invited to attend Junior Conference at Rock Eagle 4-H Center, November 11-12, 2023. The weekend includes a mix of workshops and education sessions, along with opportunities for community service and exhibits, planned by and led by the Junior Board of Directors. Recreational programs for 4-H’ers are included to allow 4-H’ers to interact with youth from all over Georgia. Educational workshops, community service, and recreation are led by high school-aged teen leaders. Transportation provided by Richmond County 4-H.
This year's theme is "Rockin' and Rollin' at the Rock!"

Prepare your speech for your November club meeting!

Choose a topic that you are interested in, your Friend’s Book list all of the
categories to help you. Write a 5 minute speech and do a poster that goes along
with it. You will present your speech in school in November or December and
then have the opportunity to attend DPA at Rock Eagle in February to present
your same speech there. More information about DPA will be sent home with
your scorecard from your speech.
