Ways to get involved with Richmond County 4-H:
If you're child has not previously participated in activities with Richmond County 4-H, you can enroll in Richmond County 4-H with the online submission link shown below or submit an enrollment form to Richmond County 4-H. Email completed forms to uge3245f@uga.edu or deliver to Richmond County 4-H, 501 Greene Street, Suite 100, Augusta, GA 30901. If your child has participated with Richmond County 4-H in the past or if you are not sure, please contact our office to ask us to check if your child is already enrolled in our 4-H system and find out more information about renewing your child's involvement.

Apply now to serve as a 4-H Volunteer with Richmond County 4-H!
Requirements:
Adult volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
Volunteers working with youth must complete a volunteer application online, supply 3 non-related references, pass a background check, complete an Adult Code of Conduct agreement and complete the online training, Georgia 4-H: Working with Youth & Managing Risk.
Volunteer drivers must pass a Motor Vehicle screening (included in volunteer application).

Mar 14 Richmond County 4-H Gardening Club Our Mission Statement: The purpose of youth gardening is to introduce gardening, conservation, protection of wildlife, recognition of plants, trees, and shrubs, basic flowering, and a love and appreciation of nature. The goal is that they will be future citizens who will be responsible and capable with greater self-expression, dignity, integrity, and knowledge of their environment. We are dedicated to growing minds in a stimulating, secure, and privileged environment through our high-quality, early-learning enrichment classes prior to planting any seeds. Richmond County 4-H Gardening Club is open to 4th-12th grade students who are interested in learning more about gardening and pollinators. The club is led by Augusta Area Master Gardener, Ms. Joy Brown. The club meets once a month on a Saturday morning, 8:00am-9:30am, at 2473 Golden Camp Rd., Augusta, GA. Members will learn basic skills about caring for a small pet at each meeting. Throughout the year, members will be introduced to various small animals. Small Animal Club will meet one Saturday per month in September, October, November, January, February, March, April and May, 10:00am-11:00am at 2413 Willis Foreman Road, Hephzibah GA, 30815 in Willis Foreman Elementary School. All members are required to enroll in Richmond County 4-H and pay a $10.00 registration fee to participate in Small Animal Club. Apr 11 - Apr 13 4-H Senior Conference Senior 4-H’ers in Grade 9 – 12 from across the state are invited to the Georgia 4-H Senior Conference on April 5 - 6, 2025 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. The theme is "To Infinity & Beyond Ready" and there will be a semi-formal dance, an after-dance party with a mechanical bull, games, free pizza, more line dancing, a share fair with not only college recruiters, but a chance for you to highlight your great work, and much, much more! Registration fee includes transportation, Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, Saturday lodging, Sunday breakfast, activities, insurance, speakers, and a lot of fun! All 4-H'ers must complete a Code of Conduct and Medical Release form, as well as the Mechanical Ride Liability Waiver and a Passenger Release Waiver.

Apr 17 Dance Through The Decades with Richmond County 4-H Slide on those platforms, slip into your poodle skirt, dust off your bell bottoms, and tease up your hair... Dress your favorite decade to get your groove on with Richmond County 4-H! Open to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade 4-H'ers. This fun event includes music, line dances, games, prizes for best costumes, concessions, and fun!!! Cost in Advance is $5 (cash, check or card), if purchased by April 13th. Cost at the door is $7.00 and only cash will be accepted at the event on April 17th. Admission includes one slice of pizza and a drink. Additional concessions will be for sale during the event (cash only). A Code of Conduct form and Medical Information Form must be turned in at the check in table to be allowed entrance into the event.

Jun 1 - Jun 6 Marine Exploration Camp at Burton 4-H Center with Richmond County 4-H Marine Exploration Camp is open to 6th-8th graders. Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island has six acres on a tidal creek surrounded by marsh! A week of camp includes a Savannah River dinner cruise, a trip to River Street, indoor and outdoor camp recreation, a shark dissection, and a swim shirt. Cost includes lodging, meals, and transportation. The Camper Information form and non-refundable $75 deposit must be submitted by March 4, 2026 to register. Final payments are due by May 8, 2026.

Jun 8 - Jun 13 Wilderness Challenge Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center with Richmond County 4-H Wilderness Challenge Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center in the North Georgia Mountains is a week-long camp for current *6th, 7th, or 8th graders. Campers will experience outdoor adventures and learn about shelter making, campfires, outdoor cooking, water purification and geology. Cost includes lodging, meals, transportation, a t-shirt, plus canopy zip lining, kayaking, high ropes activities and a whitewater rafting trip. The Camper Information form and $75 non-refundable deposit is due no later than March 4, 2026 to register for this event. Final camp payment is due by May 8, 2026. *6th graders must be 12 years old by the week of camp.

Jun 15 - Jun 20 Cloverleaf Summer Camp at Fortson 4-H Center with Richmond County 4-H Cloverleaf Camp is open to 4th-6th graders. Fortson 4-H Center in Hampton, GA provides an outdoor summer program unparalleled in the nation. Fortson has 77 acres of forest, field, pond and wetlands! Cloverleaf Camp at Fortson 4-H Center is a week-long experience that includes swimming, zip-lining, nature trail and night hikes, crafts, indoor and outdoor recreation and a trip to Spivey Splash Water Park, a water bottle and a t-shirt! Richmond County 4-H Club Camp registration opens February 1, 2026! The cost of camp includes lodging, food, transportation, insurance, a water bottle, a 4-H camp t-shirt, and all activities. $75 non-refundable deposit and Camper Information form are due by April 3, 2026 to reserve a spot. All Cloverleaf Camp fees must be paid by June 5, 2026.
