Become a tree-hugger with us! Master Naturalist Extension Volunteers have regular tree walks to teach the public about the principles of tree identification. Join the experts and check our schedule on the Upcoming ANR Events page

The Big Creek Greenway is an ongoing project in Forsyth County that currently boasts more than 25 miles of continuous walking trails through Fulton County and Forsyth County. This trail takes pedestrians, cyclists, and joggers through miles of ripearan woods. Along the trail the Forsyth County Master Naturalist Extension Volunteers have identified many native tree species that support native ecosystems and wildlife. They have taken their knowledge of these trees and partnered with many generous businesses and individuals to place tree information signs along the trail. Through these signs visitors can learn about the importance of native trees as they walk along the greenway.
