Upcoming ANR Events

2026 GA Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Training Program.  Classes will take place on Tuesdays April 7th - June 2nd from 9am - 4pm. Topics will include Basic Botany, Ornamental Plants, Turf, Plant and Pest Management, and Landscaping. The Forsyth County Extension Office is located at 5110 Piney Grove Road, Cumming, Ga, 30040.  The cost is $225.  Registration opens on January 20, 2026.  There is a limited number of spaces so register now!

Come to the Forsyth County Library located at 585 Dahlonega Street on Saturday, February 14;  10 am -11am and learn about birdwatching and the Great Backyard Bird Count with the UGA Extension Office of Forsyth County. Learn about how to birdwatch, basics of bird ID, and a discussion on some of the tools you may want to use. The presentation will be followed by a short walk outside, led by Master Naturalists volunteers, to practice some of the tips discussed during the program.  This is a free program and you do not need to register for it.
