Dairy Judging

What is Dairy Judging?

Dairy Judging teaches your child a vast knowledge about dairy cattle.  They also develop skills in identifying types and grades of livestock, while learning the basic principles of animal science. Members of the Dairy Judging team learn to identify breeds and classes of dairy animals to help improve production on the farm and develop skills that contribute to profitable, efficient farming.

Who Can Participate?

  • Dairy Judging is open to 4th - 12th graders

Practice and Competition

  • Practices will be held weekly preceding the competition
  • State competition will be held in March/April
