Health Benefits of Gardening
To educate community members on the health benefits of gardening, MGEVs teach the value of the interior and exterior landscape for human health, well-being, and quality of life. MGEVs transfer knowledge and skills to intended audiences so that they might utilize this information for personal health and a healthier workplace and community. MGEVs accomplish this through projects like horticultural therapy programs at hospitals and community gardens that provide fresh produce in food desert areas.
