Forestry Judging
Youth learn how to ID native trees, insects, and diseases as well as how to cruise timber in order to obtain an estimate for timber sale. Additionally, youth learn how to use a compass and how to utilize their pace to measure distance.
This is a competitive judging team club where 4-H'ers learn about native trees of Georgia, common tree diseases, and insects with the possibility of competing at the District, State, or even on the National level.
