4-H Clubs, Activities, & Events

Fayette County 4-H offers many different clubs and activities! There is something for everybody in Fayette County 4-H. The activities listed below are not an all-inclusive list! We are always updating our clubs and activities based on youth interest and the number of staff and volunteers. If you have any questions about additional offerings, please feel free to call or email the office. You can also follow us on social media to see up to date program offerings!

Cooking Across the Continents Club (Grades 4-12)

An international culinary experience where guest "lead chefs" will come in each week and teach us a new recipe from a country they hold near and dear to their hearts!

Cuisines in focus: Greece, Egypt, Japan, India, and Brazil

When: Wednesdays, August 26 - September 30, 2026 (No meeting on September 16th)

Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Where: Fayette County Extension, Suite 210

Mission Make-It: Grades 6-8

Mission Make-It is for 6th-8th graders to engage in the engineering design process, teamwork, critical thinking, and positive youth development. This event will include hands-on engineering workshops, guest speakers, and interactive exhibits. Our 2026 theme focuses on food,  challenging middle schoolers to apply engineering design thinking to real-world, food-related problems. We are going to be Cooking Up Solutions because this is Nacho Average Engineering Challenge!

Event Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026

Location: Rock Eagle 4-H Center

Cost: $45

Transportation is provided to teen leaders and youth who attend.

Mission Make-It Teen Leader Opportunity

This is an amazing opportunity for our high school 4-H'ers who would like to volunteer for this year's middle school event at no cost for those who are accepted!

Event Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026

Location: Rock Eagle 4-H Center

Deadlines/Acceptance Date:

  • Teen Leader applications due on Wednesday, August 19th in QuestionPro.
  • Teen Leaders will be notified of status on Friday, August 21st.

Transportation is provided to teen leaders and youth who attend.

  • Leave on Friday, September 11, 2026: 4:30 pm 
  • Return on Saturday, September 12, 2026: 6:00 pm

Junior / Senior Club (Grades 7-12)

Each of the meetings will include hands-on activities, games, challenges and more!  This fun-filled club will be sure to challenge and entertain with Minute to Win It games, pumpkin carving, a digital scavenger hunt, and life skills challenges.

When: First Monday of each month through December (except for September as it is Labor Day). 

  • September 14 (second Monday) – Digital Scavenger Hunt (bring cell phone or camera)
  • October 5 – BYOP (youth need to bring their own pumpkin, we will supply the carving supplies and/or decorations)
  • November 2 – Minute to Win It (games modeled after the TV show)
  • December 7 – Life Skills Challenge (Kahoots quizzes, practical challenges ex. picking up items with chopsticks, fastest gift wrapper, etc.)

Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Cloverleaf Connections (Grades 4-6)

Cloverleaf Connections is a club for Grades 4-6 and will focus on Healthy Living and making a connection between yourself, your friends, your family, your community and the world.  One small act of kindness with your friends could have the potential to impact your community and beyond!  This club will help you learn about nutrition, fitness, safety, and stress management to promote overall balanced, healthy lifestyles through hands-on activities, games, and community service!

When: Every Thursday beginning October 22, 2026 thru November 19, 2026.

  • October 22: Connect with Yourself - Come take a spin on our Blender Bike and make a delicious smoothie!  Afterwards, wind down with 4-H Yoga!
  • October 29: Connect with Friends – Team Building Activities & Games
  • November 5: Connect with Family – Impress your family by learning to make a Thanksgiving dinner dessert. 
  • November 12: Connect with Community – All about shelter dogs!  Community service project making no-bake dog treats and decorating Adopt Me bandanas.
  • November 19: Connect with the World – Learn about different cultures, greetings, and games from around the world.

Time: 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
