Welcome our new CEC!
August 1, 2024, Dr. Crystal Perry joined the Northwest District UGA Extension team as the DeKalb County Extension Coordinator with a wealth of experience and a strong academic background in public administration, education, and human services. With a Bachelor's degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Public Administration, and a Doctorate in Human Services, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to public service and educational leadership throughout her career. Her expertise spans program development, financial management, and stakeholder engagement. Crystal is passionate about serving others and has over 20 years of experience working with vulnerable populations. Since 2014, Crystal has capitalized on her academic background in family studies and intervention strategies with UGA Extension by providing innovative positive youth development programming and implementing diversity & inclusion projects as the 4-H County Extension Agent in Sumter County in the Southwest District. Dr. Perry has served as the principal investigator and project for the Reaching Our Community through Kindness, Education, Togetherness and STEM (ROCKETS) Project, a diversity and inclusion sustainable community project. This project is an original work developed, coordinated, and implemented by Dr. Perry. She has received numerous national and state awards for her programming efforts and published research. Dr. Perry’s passion for education, combined with her strategic vision, will undoubtedly strengthen the mission and impact in DeKalb County.
UGA Extension in DeKalb County is OPEN for business. Regular hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm, excluding some holidays.
