What is UGA Extension?

The University of Georgia (UGA) Exension office operates through a unique partnership with local county governments, the state of Georgia and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. We translate the science of everyday living for farmers, families, and communities to foster a healthy and prosperous DeKalb county.

For more than a century, we've provided research-based education through a network of committed specialists, agents and volunteers to help Georgians learn, grow and do more.
