Family and Consumer Sciences

Due to the Public Health Emergency Protocol enacted by the CEO of DeKalb County, all DeKalb County government buildings are closed to the general public, Family and Consumer Sciences Agents are working remotely, and available to serve the needs of DeKalb residents via email or website. Feel free to contact Jamille Hawkins (jamille.hawkins@uga.edu) for all Family and Consumer Sciences related issues and topics.

What is a Family and Consumer Sciences Agent?
A Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) agent is a person who can assist workers, consumers and families in meeting their basic and most important needs with a wide body of research-based knowledge about topics that affect your life: your family, your food and your house. FACS Agents have a long tradition of helping individuals and families over their life span and strengthening communities through educational programs.
