Service Clovers
This is a project opportunity for 4th-12th grade Madison County 4-H'ers to give back to the community around them! We will meet every 3rd Wednesday of the month (unless otherwise noted) directly after school until 5pm. Please email Ms. Michaela at michaela.brown@uga.edu to sign up for the day(s) you plan to attend.
Snack + Chat
Snack + Chat is a 4-H club where 4th-12th graders can enjoy food while learning about mental health and how to support each other. Members will explore Georgia foods that are in season and talk with friends and 4-H leaders about what life is like for teens today. This club helps students learn skills to handle everyday life. We will meet the 1st Wednesday of every month (unless otherwise noted) directly after school until 5pm. Please email Ms. Michaela at michaela.brown@uga.edu to sign up for the day(s) you plan to attend.
Horse Quiz Bowl
For 4th-12th grade 4-H'ers. Horse Quiz Bowl is a fast-paced 4-H contest where teams buzz in to answer questions on topics such as anatomy, nutrition, breeds, tack, riding, and hor management. Its goal is to let youth demonstrate their equine knowledge in a competitive, fair, and friendly setting. Practices will take place every Wednesday after school until 5pm. State competition will be January 17, 2026. The cost to compete is $25.
District Project Achievement
Georgia 4-H Project Achievement builds lifelong skills in leadership, creativity, public speaking, and record keeping. Students select a topic, research it, and present their findings. Cloverleaf and Junior 4-H'ers (grades 4-8) compete locally before advancing to district, while Seniors (grades 9-12) compete at state and national levels with added record keeping and in-depth project work.
Jr/Sr DPA is March 6-8, 2026 at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center. If you plan to attend in March, please let us know so we can start the process of portfolios and presentation. The deadline for portfolios is December 11.
