Madison County 4-H 2023-2024
Graduating Senior Scholarship

The Madison County 4-H Senior Scholarship recognizes those 4-H'ers graduating high school and going on to further their educational endeavors. The number and value of monetary prizes awarded will be determined each year based on the number of eligible and completed applications and scholarship funds available (total monies awarded will not exceed $250). A Scholarship Committee will be selected by the Madison County 4-H staff to review the applications and select recipient(s).

Purpose:

  • To recognize hard-working, dedicated young people who are pursuing their education after high school graduation
  • To assist students who embody the standards of excellence demonstrated through Madison County 4-H
  • To encourage leadership development and to foster an awareness of importance of agriculture and to encourage an appreciation of values and opportunities of rural life

After being awarded a scholarship, the recipient(s) must submit to the Madison County 4-H Office proof of enrollment from a postsecondary institution that shows enrollment for the current or upcoming semester/quarter and a written request for the funds. Payment will be made directly to the student. Enrollment and request must be made within one year of the award date or funds will be forfeited.

Completed Scholarship Applications as well as an Official Transcript is due to the Madison County 4-H Office by May 20, 2024.
