9th - 12th Grade
Senior Project Achievement
Junior 4-H'ers are invited to spend a weekend at Rock Eagle to compete in DPA. To attend, 4-H'ers must first turn in a portfolio, worth 50% of their total score, detailing their relevant project work and other activities competed during the previous calendar year. Next, 4-H'ers will prepare a 10 - 12 minute long speech, worth 50% of their total score, with visual aids to present to their peers and to judges during the competition in March.
Those who place first at DPA will compete at State Congress in Atlanta, Georgia, in July. Seniors will compete with the top competitors from all four districts in Georgia, take an educational tour somewhere in the city, attend a free trip to Six Flags, and put their table manners to the test while dining at various banquets throughout the week. State Congress this year will take place on July 23 -26, 2019.
