Livestock Judging

What is Livestock Judging?

Livestock Judging helps 4-H'ers acquire a better knowledge of livestock and develop skills in selecting good livestock, as well as learn how to identify breeds and classes of livestock. 4-H'ers will also learn how to judge beef cattle, hogs, and sheep, and how to give a set of oral reasons on a class of livestock after judging.

Upcoming Events

Livestock Judging Practices:  Typically begin in January.

Livestock Judging State Contest:  State Contest held typically in March of each year.
