Poultry Judging

What is Poultry Judging?

As a member of the Poultry Judging Team, 4-H'ers will learn about the standards used in poultry and egg production and apply those standards in a realistic decision-making situation. 4-H'ers will learn how to judge live hens; grade exterior, interior, and broken out eggs; grade ready-to-cook poultry; and identify poultry parts.


Upcoming Events

Practices: Poultry Judging typically begins in January of each year.

Area Contest: Poultry Judging Area Contest held in April of each year in Oglethorpe County.

State Contest:  Poultry Judging State Conteset held in early May of each year.
