Hickory Flat Seed Library
Cherokee County Master Gardeners, in collaboration with University of Georgia Cooperative Extension-Cherokee County and the Sequoyah Regional Library System, have come together to create the Cherokee County Seed Library.
The Seed Library is open to all and freely distributes vegetable, herb and flower seeds to the public. The goal is to preserve the area’s agricultural heritage by promoting the use of regionally adapted seed, building genetic diversity and strengthening food security through education and a culture of sharing.
