Story in Brief

In response to the need for more diverse international opportunities and experiences, Georgia 4-H has identified a variety of opportunities for global learning. They include curriculum and lesson plans for global education and cross-cultural awareness, online lesson plans, DVDs and online media. The 4-H Global Awareness Ambassadors Program was offered as wekk as the 4-H Around the World Global Pen Pal Program, Online Global Pen Pal Program, Peace Corp Volunteer Correspondence Program, global service projects and Global Youth Service Day, Statewide events include a Global Focus State Council, the Global Quiz Bowl at Fall Forum, 4-H and UGA international student organizations, A Day in the Life Project at State Council, and the Georgia 4-H Global Awareness Certificate Program. This non-competitive recognition program for 4-H'ers with a global interest will recognize a cumulative body of research or leadership activities with a global focus.
