Our Impact
Equipping Georgia's youth with financial literacy skills reduces the likelihood of credit abuse and overspending later in life. Your Money, Your Future is a series of six financial management lesson plans from UGA Cooperative Extension targeted to 5th through 8th grade students. The Lanier County Family and Consumer Sciences agent, Lowndes 4-H agent, and Randolph 4-H agent worked with the UGA Consumer Economics Specialist to develop this financial literacy curriculum for youth. The Youth Financial Literacy Curriculum is currently being piloted in schools across 66 Georgia counties, and reaching several thousand youth.
