4-H programs are grounded in the belief that youth learn best by doing. 4-H'ers participate in hands-on learning activities in science, health, agriculture and citizenship, in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. 4-H programs and clubs typically meet once per week or once per month, although some may choose to meet more or less frequently. Each event in Georgia 4-H will have a grade level established. This grade requirement can be found with the eligibility requirements for those events.
