Cobb Upcoming Special Events:

  • 2024 Cobb 4-H Summer Activities: Are you looking for a summer program or activity for your K-12th grader? Don't miss out on a "Summer of FUN" with Cobb 4-H! From a trip to the movies, the Sloomoo Institute, our Food Network Contest Day, Cloverbuds Gardening day and more, there is fun to be had by all with Cobb 4-H this summer! Registration is now open for all activities! Spaces are limited! To register, complete the summer activities registration form and call the office at 770-528-4070 to pay via phone with a Visa/MasterCard/Discover card.   If you decide to complete a phone registration, be sure to email your registration form FIRST to Ms. Chloe at or Ms. Jasmine at can also stop by the office any time Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Clubs available for the 2023-2024 school year are:

County Council

4-H’ers 4th-12th grade meet once a month to enjoy peer led activities and community service. Officers plan and lead each club meeting. This is also a great way to learn about upcoming local, district, and state events and competitions. Activities that we have done for County Council include a luggage collection for foster children, decorating lunch bags for MUST Ministries, international night, talent shows, costume contests, and much more! Meetings are 6:30-8pm on September 5, October 3, November 7, December 5, January 9, February 6, March 5, April 9, and May 7 at the Extension Office. Contact Brittani Lee at for more information.


4-H C.H.E.F.

4-H C.H.E.F. stands for “Cobb Helping Every Family”. The 4-H C.H.E.F. program will meet once a month on a Monday evening at the Extension Office to prepare a meal for a local family in need. This is open to 4th-12th graders. To ensure that we are following proper food safety protocol, any 4-H’er that is interested in attending a monthly 4-H CHEF cooking program must complate a mandatory online Food Safety Handlers video and test. We will host a Fall 4-H C.H.E.F program and a Spring 4-H C.H.E.F. program.  4-H’ers will sign up for a semester to help.  We are limited to 15 4-H'ers each semester due to space.  Contact Brittani Lee at for more information.

Cultured Ag Club

Are you interested in gardening, animals, and learning more about agriculture engineering in Cobb County? Join the Cultured Ag Club sponsored by UGA Extension and Cultured Ag! Meetings are open to Cobb youth in 4th-12th grade. Meetings are held once a month on Wednesdays at the Cobb County Extension Office located at 678 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060 from 6:00pm-7:30pm. There may also be field trips to various locations. Archery Team

The Cobb County 4-H Archery team will enter its seventh season during the 2023-2024 school year. 4th-12th grade students are eligible to compete with the archery team. The team members are also members of Kennesaw Archery Club (KAC). Archers shoot compound or recurve bows depending on preference. The team will compete at various tournaments and competitions. Shotgun Team

The Cobb County 4-H Shotgun Team is open to 6th-12th grade youth. The team shoots trap and skeet and sporting clays. The season will start in early 2024. The team will compete at two competitions during the season culminating with the state competition in Savannah the last weekend of May. Any youth that are interested in joining the team for the 2023-2024 school year, email Chloe Patterson at or stop by the shotgun table at the 4-H Open House on August 17th to meet with Coach Jeff.


4-H Medical Club

The 4-H Medical Club is a one of a kind 4-H club led by Cobb 4-H'er Phebe Burroughs-Thebault and volunteer leader Suzi Burroughs-Thebault. This club is a hands on club where students can learn more about the health, safety, and the medical field including first aid, emergency preparedness, home safety, and much more!  This club is for 6th-12th graders. Cooking Club

Do you like cooking or would like to learn how to cook from scratch? Join our 4-H Cooking Club for the Fall 2023 semester or the Spring 2024 semester. This club is open to 4th-12th grade students. Club meetings are once a month from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Extension Office.The cost is $30 per semester. Space is limited. Contact Colleen Bakhsh at for more information.

Horse and Pony Club

The Cobb County 4-H Horse and Pony Club is looking for new members! You do not have to own a horse or a pony to be a member of this club. Open to 4th-12th grade students. Meetings are held monthly from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Extension Office located at 678 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060. Club dues are $30 for the year. MET 4-H Cobb County Enrichment Program in conjunction with the Cobb 4-H Horse and Pony Club

Love horses and want to also learn ride? Be a member of the Cobb 4-H Horse and Pony Club and add on additional equine opportunities including riding as a member of the MET 4-H Cobb County Enrichment program. All member of the Cobb MET 4-H program are also required to be members and be active in the Cobb 4-H Horse and Pony Club. MET stands for Metropolitan Equestrian and is a non profit organization that helps give all students the chance to ride and equine educational opportunities where they otherwise might not be able to have that. You do not have to have a horse or any prior riding knowledge to be a part of this program. This program will require students to meet one FULL Saturday a month to practice both mounted and unmounted horse skills in addition to what they are learning in Horse in Pony Club and judging teams (if they are on the judging team). This program will run from August – May starting with an open house in August and the Saturday practices beginning in September. Members must be able to commit to a full Saturday once a month to develop their riding and educational skills. Questions? Want to join 4-H but think you're too young to join? Join our pre-4-H Cloverbuds Club for K-3rd grade students. Meetings are held once a month on Wednesdays. There will be TWO Cloverbuds Clubs, a homeschool club that meets during the day from 10:00am-11:00am and a general 4-H Cloverbuds Club that meets in the evenings from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Both clubs meet on the same day in person at the Cobb County Extension office. Space is limited.  $20 registration fee for the year. 2023-2024 club dates: September 13, October 11, November 15, December 13, January 17, February 14, March 20, April 17, May 15. Cobb 4-H Plant Sale 2024

"Bee the Change!"

Kick off 2024 by purchasing plants from the Cobb 4-H plant sale to support our pollinators and Cobb 4-H youth! Find the 2024 brochure here! Your plant sale purchase will make a difference in numerous ways!  “Bee the Change”  while getting your yard ready for spring by adding color and vibrancy to brighten your days. Orders will be accepted at the Extension Office with debit/credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Discover), cash, money order, or check. Mail–in orders will be accepted with check or money order. The mailing address is 678 South Cobb Drive Suite 200 Marietta, GA 30060. No phone orders will be accepted to ensure accurate orders.  All checks should be made out to Cobb Extension/4-H.  ALL SALES are final. Cobb County 4-H makes no guarantee on plants sold. Some plant varieties are limited. Plants sell quickly! Pre-orders are being taken from now until Friday March 1st at 5:00pm. All mail in orders must be post marked by February 26th to ensure we receive your order in time. Pick up for plants will be held on Saturday March 16th from 9:00am-1:00pm at Jim Miller Park in the Covered Pavilion. Questions?
