Cobb Upcoming Special Events:

  • 2023 4-H Reward Trip: Be active in 4-H by attending various events, activities, and clubs and earn your spot in our 2023 4-H Reward Trip! How do you earn the trip? Check out our Reward Trip Hype Video!
  • Portfolio Workshop: Calling all 7th-12th graders! Do you want to attend a FREE weekend trip to Rock Eagle March 3-5, 2023? Do you want to share your passion with others? Join us for Junior/Senior Project Achievement 2023! The first step is to pick a project and start working on your portfolio! Our next portfolio workshop will be on Tuesday October 25th from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Cobb County Extension Office located at 678 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060.   • Junior Conference: Open to 6th-8th graders! Come spend the weekend at Rock Eagle 4-H Center November 12-13, 2022. Participate in exciting workshops, recreation, community service projects, talent show, and enjoy the dance, and Georgia 4-H’s own performing arts group, Clovers and Company. The price for Junior Conference is $50 for the first 4 6th-8th graders to pay and register. The cost is $90 for the remaining youth. Want to register? Clubs available for the 2022-2023 school year are:

County Council

4-H’ers 4th-12th grade meet once a month to enjoy peer led activities and community service. Officers plan and lead each club meeting. This is also a great way to learn about upcoming local, district, and state events and competitions. Activities that we have done for County Council include a luggage collection for foster children, decorating lunch bags for MUST Ministries, international night, talent shows, costume contests, and much more! Meetings are 6:30-8pm on September 6, October 4, November 1, December 6, January 10, February 7, March 7, April 11, and May 2 at the Extension Office. Contact Brittani Lee at for more information.


4-H C.H.E.F.

4-H C.H.E.F. stands for “Cobb Helping Every Family”. The 4-H C.H.E.F. program will meet once a month on a Wednesday at the Extension Office to prepare a meal for a local family in need. This is open to 4th-12th graders. To ensure that we are following proper food safety protocol, any 4-H’er that is interested in attending a monthly 4-H CHEF cooking program must attend a mandatory Food Safety Handlers class. All participants must complete the online 4-H CHEF Food Safety and Handlers class prior to attending the session. Each month, 4-H’ers will sign up to attend the class, so it is not a typical club format. It is a monthly community service event.  We are limited to 12 4-H'ers per month due to space. Any 4-H’er that attends the food safety handlers class is eligible to sign up. Young Farmer’s Club

Are you interested in gardening, animals, and learning more about agriculture engineering in Cobb County? Join the Young Farmers Club sponsored by UGA Extension and Cobb County Farm Bureau! Meetings are open to Cobb youth in 4th-12th grade. Meetings are held once a month on Wednesdays at the Cobb County Farm Bureau Office located at 2850 Powder Springs Rd SW Marietta, GA 30064 from 6:30pm-8:00pm. There may also be field trips to various locations. Archery Team

The Cobb County 4-H Archery team will enter its sixth season during the 2022-2023 school year. 4th-12th grade students are eligible to compete with the archery team. The team members are also members of Kennesaw Archery Club (KAC). Archers shoot compound or recurve bows depending on preference. The team will compete at various tournaments and competitions. Please contact Brittani Lee at to sign up for archery club interest list! This club is full for the season!


Homeschool Science Club

The Cobb County 4-H Homeschool Club is open to 4th-6th grade students. All meetings will be held at the Cobb County Extension Office located at 678 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060. Lessons have ranged from learning about prescribed fires in forests to invasive aquatic species. Please contact Kathleen McElroy at to sign up for the Homeschool Science Club interest list.


Shotgun Team

The Cobb County 4-H Shotgun team will enter its sixth season during the 2022-2023 school year. Open to 7th-12th grade youth. The team shoots trap and skeet and sporting clays. The season will start in early 2023. The team will compete at two competitions during the season culminating with the state competition in Savannah the last weekend of May. Any youth that are interested in joining the team for the 2022-2023 school year, email Brittani Lee at


4-H Medical Club

The 4-H Medical Club is a brand new and one of kind 4-H club led by Cobb 4-H'er Phebe Burroughs-Thebault and volunteer leader Suzi Burroughs-Thebault. This club is a hands on club where students can learn more about the health, safety, and medical field including first aid, emergency preparedness, home safety, and much more!  This club is for 6th-12th graders.  If you have any questions or wish to register your child for this club, please contact Brittani Lee at


Cooking Club

Do you like cooking or would like to learn how to cook from scratch? Join our 4-H Cooking Club for the Fall 2022 semester. This club is open to 4th-12th grade students. Club meetings are once a month from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Extension Office. Fall 2022 dates include: September 20, October 18, November 15, December 20 (club will meet 10 am -1 pm this month). Horse and Pony Club

The Cobb County 4-H Horse and Pony Club is looking for new members! You do not have to own a horse or a pony to be a member of this club. Open to 4th-12th grade students. Meetings are typically held monthly from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Extension Office located at 678 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060. Club dues are $30 for the year. Want to join 4-H but think you're too young to join? Join our pre-4-H Cloverbuds Club for K-3rd grade students. Meetings are held once a month on Wednesdays. There will be TWO Cloverbuds Clubs, a homeschool club that meets during the day from 10:00am-11:00am and a general 4-H Cloverbuds Club that meets in the evenings from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Both clubs meet on the same day in person at the Cobb County Extension office. Registration for both clubs will take place at Open House Thursday August 18th.  Space is limited.  $20 registration fee for the year. 2022-2023 club dates: September 21, October 19, November 16, December 14, January 11, February 15, March 22, April 19, May 10. Cobb 4-H Plant Sale 2023

"Bee the Change!"

Kick off 2023 by purchasing plants from the Cobb 4-H plant sale to support our pollinators and Cobb 4-H youth! Find the 2023 brochure here! Your plant sale purchase will make a difference in numerous ways!  “Bee the Change”  while getting your yard ready for spring by adding color and vibrancy to brighten your days. Orders will be accepted at the Extension Office with debit/credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Discover), cash, money order, or check. Mail–in orders will be accepted with check or money order. The mailing address is 678 South Cobb Drive Suite 200 Marietta, GA 30060. No phone orders will be accepted to ensure accurate orders.  All checks should be made out to Cobb Extension/4-H.  ALL SALES are final. Cobb County 4-H makes no guarantee on plants sold. Some plant varieties are limited. Plants sell quickly! Pre-orders are being taken from now until Friday March 3rd at 5:00pm. All mail in orders must be post marked by March 1st to ensure we receive your order in time. Pick up for plants will be held on Saturday March 18th from 9:00am-1:00pm at Jim Miller Park in the Covered Pavilion. Questions?
