Due to COVID-19, we are limited on the number 4-H’ers eligible to pay and register. Registration is now open! You can register in person at the Cobb County Extension Office located at 678 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060. Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. If you would like to register your child via phone, please call the Extension Office at 770-528-4070 and pay with a Visa/MasterCard or Discover Card. BEFORE payment, you must have emailed the completed brochure to Mrs. Brittani at firstname.lastname@example.org. Find the brochure here! Dining with Cobb 4-H SPIN Club
Join our new SPIN Club: Dining with Cobb 4-H! It is open to K-12th graders. In this SPIN Club, we will cook different foods, learn about nutrition, and how we can live a healthy lifestyle! Our SPIN Club will take place on Mondays in March on the dates of the: 1st, 8th, 22nd, and 29th via Zoom. The cost of kits are $25. Please call 770-528-4070 to register and purchase your kits! The deadline to register is February 12th. Limited to the first 30 to pay and register. All classes will take place at 5:30pm via Zoom.

Attention all 4th-8th graders! We are looking for entries into our MilkMake contest! You must create a drink recipe with milk as the main ingredient. WHen submitting recipes, be sure to include the number of servings and directions for preparing the drink. We will select 3 winners from the Cloverleaf (4th-6th grade) and Junior (7th-8th grade) levels. Please follow the procedures listed below before submitting your entries:
- Each participant must submita recipe for a milke-based drink including (but not limited to) milkshakes and smoothies for the county contest.
- The main ingredients should be milk and the recipe should include the amount of ingredients, number of servings, and directions for preparing the drink.
- Recipes must be written or typed on a standard sheet of paper (8x11).
- Recipes will be judged on nutrition, appeal, creativiy, recipe presentation, and recipe content.
- Recipes should be submitted to the Kennedy Deveuax via email at firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday March 4th, 2021
Virtual Book Club
Cobb County 4-H is beginning a book club for 4th-8th grade 4-H'ers! The book club will meet every other Wednesday from 4:00pm-4:30pm via Zoom. Registration has officially closed but it's not too late to join! The book choice for the club is A Wrinkle in Time. Interested in your child joining the Book Club? Purchase your book, turn in your 4-H paperwork, and email AmeriCorps Member Kennedy Deveaux at email@example.com to sign up today!
Virtual Cooking Club
Join our UGA Extension Family Consumer Science Agent Zoe S as you cook along side her for our monthly Virtual Cooking Club! These events are held via Zoom once month from 5:00pm-7:00pm. To receive the registration link each month email firstname.lastname@example.org

Spring 2021 club dates: January 26, February 16, March 16, April 20, and May 18
Want to join 4-H but think you're too young to join? Join our pre-4-H Cloverbuds Club for K-3rd grade students. Meetings are held once a month on Wednesdays. This fall the meetings will be held virtually via Zoom with an accompanying activity kit. Kits will be $25 for all 4-H members. There will be TWO Cloverbuds Clubs, a homeschool club that meets during the day from 10:00am-11:00am and a general 4-H Cloverbuds Club that meets in the evenings from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Both clubs meet on the same day via Zoom this fall. Registration for both clubs will open on Thursday August 20th. Kits must be purchased at the Extension Office no later than September 1st to receive supplies and allow time for pick up prior to the first meeting. Kit payments can be made by calling the Extension Office at 770-528-4070 via phone with a credit card or in person at the Extension Office located 678 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060 Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

SPIN Club- Kitchen Science (Session 1)
Join Cobb 4-H for our first SPiN club (SPecial INterest) Club! Open to any K-12th grade students that are interested in learning more about food science and the science of all things edible! The club will meet each Monday throughout the month of October from 4pm-5pm via Zoom to participate in an engaging kitchen science lesson and to complete an activity that comes with the SPIN club kit. All club members must purchase the kit to participate in club activities. The cost is $25 and covers the cost of all supplies* (any perishable items must be supplied by the family). Kits can be purchased in person at the Extension Office Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm OR by calling the office at 770-528-4070 to pay with a Visa/MasterCard/Discover. Registration opens on Thursday August 20th. Kits must be purchased at the Extension Office no later than September 18 to receive supplies and allow time for kitpick up prior to the first meeting.

The club will meet each Monday throughout the month of November from 4pm-5pm via Zoom to participate in an engaging STEAM lesson and to complete an activity that comes with the SPIN club kit. Young Farmers Club
Are you interested in gardening, animals, and learning more about agriculture engineering in Cobb County? Join the Young Farmers Club sponsored by UGA Extension and Cobb County Farm Bureau! Meetings are open to 4th-12th grade students however younger sibilings are welcome. Meetings are held once a month on Wednesdays via Zoom this Fall. When in person meetings resume, they will be held at the Cobb County Farm Bureau Office located at 2850 Powder Springs Rd SW Marietta, GA 30064 from 6:00pm- 7:00pm. Horse and Pony Club
The Cobb County 4-H Horse and Pony Club is looking for new members! You do not have to own a horse or a pony to be a member of this club. Open to 4th-12th grade students. Meetings are typically held monthly from 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Extension Office located at 678 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060. Fall meetings will be held virtually or at a barn where social distancing measures can take place. Club dues are $30 for the year. It's all about the the human body systems this spring with the Cobb County 4-H Homeschool Club. This semester, the club will be open to 4th-12th grade students. All meetings will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Cobb County Extension Office located at 678 South Cobb Drive Marietta, GA 30060. At least one dissection will occur with the class. Limited to 12 students to accomodate social distancing measures. The cost is $25 for the spring session. The Cobb County 4-H Archery team will enter its fourth season during the 2020-2021 school year. 4th-12th grade students are eligible to compete ith the archery team. The team members are also members of Kennesaw Archery Club (KAC). Archers shoot compound or recurve bows depending on preference. The team will compete at various tournaments and competitions. The Cobb County 4-H Shotgun team will enter its fourth season during the 2020-2021 school year. Open to 7th-12th grade youth. The team shoots trap and skeet and sporting clays. The season will start in early 2021. The team will compete at two competitions during the season culminating with the state competition in Savannah the last weekend of May.
