This two-part workshop will walk you through the essentials of developing a functional, safe livestock property.
Session 1: From Woods to Pasture
Topics include land clearing considerations, soil testing and pasture establishment, selecting forage species, pasture layout, fencing options, gates, and planning for efficient grazing management.
Session 2: Building a Functional Facility
This session covers shelter options, handling facilities, water systems, feeders, manure management, equipment storage, biosecurity, and planning for future expansion.
