Description
Be a real life hero! Fight back against invasive plants! Join Forsyth County Extension in our community effort to clear invasive plants from our county parks. First, you'll learn how to identify and manage non-native invasive plants in North Georgia. Then we'll take a short walk to an Action Site in the park where we'll get hands-on experience with an effective, non-chemical strategy to remove the #2 worst non-native invasive plant, Japanese stiltgrass (Microstegium vimineum), from the site.
Bring your own water and we'll provide everything else. This is a family-friendly community program, but youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Make sure to register so we can update you prior to the event. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended.
