Description

Correct insect identification is the foundation of effective pest management. This webinar, taught by Fulton County Extension ANR agent, Gabrielle LaTora, helps farmers build confidence in recognizing common insect pests and beneficials found in agricultural systems, and explains why accurate identification matters before taking any management action.

Participants will learn key insect characteristics used for identification, resources to make insect ID easier, and how misidentification can lead to unnecessary or ineffective treatments. The session emphasizes practical skills, giving growers tools they can use in the field to make smarter, more sustainable pest management decisions.
