Whether you’re thinking about planting a few trees, already a backyard grower, or someone who just loves a good pecan pie and wants to know more about pecans, this session will give you a basic introduction to the biology of pecans, common challenges, best varieties and what it takes to keep trees healthy and productive. From varieties and planting tips to pest management and harvest basics, Lisa Klein with UGA Extension Gwinnett will leave with practical knowledge for this delicious Georgia staple. This program qualifies for master gardener continuing education credit.
