Enrollment for 2024 -2025 has started 

August 2024 through July 2025

Pike County 4-H is free to join and open to all youth from fourth through twelfth grade who live in Pike County. You can become a member at any time during the year. 4-H does not charge dues or require uniforms. However, there are fees associated with certain events and programs.

It's easy to join, just fill out a Pike County Enrollment Form!

Pike County Equestrian Program:

Pike County 4-H Horse Club

You are invited to join our 4-H Horse Club Team! We are looking for new members and would love it if you could join our team!

You do not have to own a horse to participate.

Our scheduled 4-H Horse Club meeting dates for 2024 are:

OCTOBER 14, 2024 

NOVEMBER 4, 2024

DECEMBER 2, 2024

All meetings are from 5:30 - 6:30 pm at our new location 943 Sandefur Road in Meansville! 

2025 dates will be announced at a later point.

Georgia 4-H State Horse Show 2025

June 3 - 7, 2025

Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter – Perry, GA

GEORGIA 4-H STATE HORSE SHOW

Must be a 4-H member of our Pike Equestrian Team to participate

Rules and entry forms for the State 4-H Horse Show can be obtained from your local county Extension office.

To be eligible to compete in the 2025 State 4-H Horse Show:

• Own or lease a 4-H project horse by March 1, 2025.
• Your county agent must complete online Intent to Show forms by March 8, 2025.
• Be an active, enrolled 4-Her in the county you live in or go to school in.

_{SAFE Sports}  

Georgia 4-H Safe uses shooting sports to teach many valuable life skills. Project SAFE (Shooting Awareness, Fun, and Education) provides youth a place to develop a sense of belonging, learn teamwork in a safe environment, and increase concentration skills. Trained volunteers lead clubs in BB, Air Rifle, Air Pistol, 22 Rifle, Shotgun, and Archery.

^{If you want to discover if our Archery Program is right for your child or teen, visit one of the practice sessions. Practice takes place every Saturday from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm except for school holidays and inclement weather. New members are always welcome!}

^{Our practice location is near the Pike County Parks & Recreation Department in Williamson. The address for our 4-H SAFE Sport location is 396 Twin Oaks Road, you will turn down a gravel road to the practice field.}

Cotton Boll & Consumer Judging

Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging is a competitive judging contest where 4-H’ers learn about cotton as an agricultural commodity in our state as well as promote cotton through commercials or advertisements.

CLOVERLEAF 4-H FOOD AND NUTRITION

Donor of Awards: Southeast United Dairy Industry Association

Objectives:
• To develop leadership abilities, build character, and assume citizenship responsibilities.
• To develop skills for utilizing milk creatively in recipes.
• To acquire knowledge of the nutritional value and versatility of milk.
• To learn to write/share a recipe.

Pike County -H Homeschool Club

You are invited to join our 4-H Homeschool Club! We are set to focus on pollinators throughout the homeschool program this year.  We will cover topics such as what pollinators are, the roles of the honey bee, native bee hotel creation, and much more.

Project Achievement

Project Achievement

Project Achievement _{is one of the largest and most exciting, challenging, and rewarding programs offered by Georgia 4-H. 4-H’ers choose a project area of interest, research a topic, and then write and present an oral presentation to others. For Cloverleaf 4-H’ers, students in grades 4-6, this process is about hands-on learning, self-confidence, and sharing knowledge.}

_{Poultry Judging}

Poultry Judging

Teaches 4-Her's how to judge live hens, grade eggs, grade ready-to-cook poultry, and identify poultry parts. It also provides Experience in organizing thoughts and defending decisions with oral reason.

The 2024 State 4-H Poultry Judging Contest was held in Crawford, GA on Friday, May 3^rd.
