  • Oct 1 Farm Passport Tour This Multi-Day tour follows Georgia Farm Bureau's Farm Passport stops and is perfect for all ages. Collect passport stamps to gain prizes! To join in the tour, you must be pre-registered with a $5 per person per day fee. Activities included in registration vary by day. To register, contact the Extension Office: 770-567-2010 or pike.extension@uga.edu The October 1st tour will bring pecans, pumpkins, a corn maze, and butter pecan ice cream!

  • Oct 2 Journeyman Farmer Certificate Program: Small Ruminant Production The Pike County Extension Office and Spalding County Extension Office are hosting a Journeyman Farmer Certificate Program with a focus on sheep and goat nutrition, breeding, FAMACHA, and more! This course is specifically designed with beginners in mind, and anyone with an interest in small ruminant care is welcome to sign up.
