The Douglas County 4-H Club assist youth in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills, and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive and contributing members of society.
This is accomplished through “hands on” learning experiences, focused on agricultural and environmental issues, agriculture awareness, leadership, communication skills, foods and nutrition, health, energy conservation, and citizenship. All clubs meet once a month.
To join and participate in the Douglas County 4-H Club, 4-Her's must complete and submit an Enrollment Card and Code of Conduct

The Horse Club meets every 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30pm - 8pm. Meetings are regularly held at the UGA 4-H Extension Office. It is not required for you to have a horse to join the Horse Club. Annual Dues: $15

The Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) Club meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 6:30pm - 8pm. Meetings are held at the UGA 4-H Extension Office. Some Meetings may be held offsite (Notice will always be given in advance). Annual Dues: $50
Home School Club
The Home School Club meet on the last Friday (usually the 4th Friday) of each month from 10am - 12pm. Meetings are held at the UGA 4-H Extension Office.
Junior & Senior Club
The Junior & Senior Club meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6pm - 8pm open to all raising 7th grade to 12th grade 4-H’ers. Meetings are held at the UGA 4-H Extension Office. Some meetings may be held offsite (Notice will always be given in advance).
The Cooking Club meets on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month from 5pm-7:30. Meetings are held at the UGA 4-H Extension Office. Some Meetings may be held offsite (Notice will always be given in advance).
Registration Fee: $25
**Due to high a volume of interest & limited spacing, there will be an 8 week cooking club session for the Fall and for the Spring. You must sign up in advance to reserve your spot.
Participants who have graduated from the cooking club will have an opportunity to participate in the Advanced Food Club - and will meet on the 3rd Sunday of Each Month at the UGA 4-H Extension Office.
Will commence during the fall with an interest meeting in October followed by the first practice in November twice a month from 6pm - 7:30pm at the Family Fun Center in Douglasville, GA. Annual Dues: $50
Shotgun Club & Team
(Modified & Trap/Skeet)
Will commence at the beginning of the year with an Interest meeting in February followed by the first practice in March. Practices are every Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm until Dark at the range in 1701 Wortham Rd, Douglasville, GA. Annual Dues: Modified $175 - Trap/Skeet $360
*One parent or guardian of each shooter are required to submit UGA Extension Volunteer Agreement form to assist at practices, fundraisers, or matches. 4-Her's are not required to have a Shotgun or a BB Rifle to participate.
The LifeSmarts team meet on the 2nd Tuesday & 3rd Friday of each month from 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Meetings are held at the UGA 4-H Extension Office. There will be a limit of 20 members.
*Practice will only continue after February if our team wins at the State Competition in February.
