Pickles

Most of us think of cucumbers when we think of pickles, but you can pickle most vegetables. Think of carrots, radishes, and green beans with a sweet, sour, spicy crunch! This may also be a good time to introduce your students to the Little Rascal's pickle song. Remember that all of these recipes are refrigerator pickles; only can pickles using tested recipes.
