Frequently Asked Questions about 4-H Camp

How do I get to Camp?

Transportation is provided on a Long County School bus.

How long does it take to get to camp?

Camp Jekyll is located on Jekyll Island in Georgia and takes about an hour to get there.

Will I be with my friends?

While at camp we want you to have a great experience, so we start by putting you in a cabin with specific friends you request to be in the same cabin with. You can even request a bunkmate during Camp Orientation on Monday, May 18th. During the day, you will have opportunities to hang out with your friends and make new ones!

Do I get free time at camp?

Yes!  You get free time and there is a lot to do. You can play board games, play basketball, visit the canteen, and dancing.

Will I need money?

Only if you want to purchase extra snacks or souvenirs from the canteen.  We will also travel to the Village Shops one day where you can purchase a dessert or buy clothing/toys in a nearby store.

Can I get a refund?

Camp deposits are non-refundable and refunds for remaining balances are only given in case of illness/injury with a doctor's note or in the case of death of an immediate family member. Refunds will also not be issued due to discipline or behavioral issues while at camp.
