Georgia 4-H Watermelon Growing Contest


Contest Rules and Deadline

1. All 4-H’ers (Kindergarten through 12th grade) are eligible to compete.

2. All weights must be submitted by Friday, July 26, 2024. Your watermelon’s weight must be verified
and weighed at your local Extension Office. Contact Harris County Extension Office for assistance with
submitting your watermelon.

3. Each 4-H’er may submit one watermelon for the competition.

4. Pictures are required for the top three state awards.

This contest is open to all 4-H'ers, kindergarten through 12th grade, and only one submission is allowed per 4-H'er. 

All entries must be submitted in Event Registration by Monday, October 21, 2024. This year’s results will be announced on Friday, October 25, 2024, just before National Pumpkin Day.
