Volunteer Leaders

Volunteer Leaders are the backbone of the Charlton County 4-H program. Because 4-H offers a wide variety of activities and events, volunteers help make these experiences possible. Leaders assist with everything from fundraising and project preparation to coaching judging teams and chaperoning events. Volunteer roles include:

  • Fundraising Leaders
  • Project Achievement Leaders
  • Judging Team Leaders
  • Target Sports Leaders
  • Camp & Conference Volunteers
  • Local Event Chaperones
  • Summer Program Leaders
  • Specialty Club Leaders
  • Public Relations Volunteers

Volunteers must complete required applications, background checks, and training to serve. The following forms must be turned in along with Risk Management Training Video/Quiz:

Volunteer Agreement (PDF)
Volunteer Application (PDF)
Background Information (PDF)

As you can see, there are several necessary steps in order to be cleared as a 4-H volunteer. Please don’t wait until the last minute and miss out on your chance to serve as a chaperone with your child on a 4-H adventure. Sign up today to become a volunteer by completing a 4-H Volunteer Leader Application.

If you have any questions, please email Brittney Whiethead,  4-H Extension Agent.
