ServSafe®

We provide Georgia's food service industry with food safety training using the National and Georgia Restaurant Associations ServSafe® Manager program. We hold the ServSafe® Manager course and test quarterly and proctor additional exams by request. We can also provide ServSafe® Food Handler training.

The ServSafe® Manager workshops include the latest textbook, exam session, light refreshments, and 1 day of instruction.  We will break for lunch at around noon.

  • Nov 15 ServSafe Manager Certification Training and Exam - Early County Georgia Cooperative Extension provides the nationally recognized and accredited ServSafe® training for foodservice managers from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). Upon successful completion of the ServSafe® examination, the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager certificate will be issued by the NRAEF.

  • Nov 17 Honey Bee Removal Certification The Georgia Structural Pest Control Commission (SPCC) passed a new licensing rule for individuals wishing to remove honey bees from structures. This license requirement is being referred to as HBR (Honey Bee Control and Removal). To obtain an HBR license, individuals must attend a SPCC approved 8-hour training outlining certain principles of removing honey bees from structures. Our training will be two 4-hour sessions. Persons seeking the Certificate MUST come to a county extension office to watch the recording. Upon completion (over one or more days), you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Attendance at both days is MANDATORY. Forsyth County Extension will offer this class at their 5110 Piney Grove Road office on November 17th and 18th from 8am-12pm each day. The cost is $40.
