ServSafe®

We provide Georgia's food service industry with food safety training using the National and Georgia Restaurant Associations ServSafe® Manager program. We hold the ServSafe® Manager course and test quarterly and proctor additional exams by request. We can also provide ServSafe® Food Handler training.

The ServSafe® Manager workshops include the latest textbook, exam session, light refreshments, and 1 day of instruction.  We will break for lunch at around noon.

  • Jun 1 - Aug 12 Applications for the 2026 Northwest Georgia Master Naturalist Program are available The Georgia Master Naturalist Program is a hands-on environmental education course that explores Georgia's habitats and ecosystems and the human impacts on these environments. This 9-week program consists of weekly field trips with in-depth lectures from experts on a variety of environmental and ecological topics. Transportation can be arranged for limited number of participants from one of the three host counties. The program days are from 9:00am to 4:00pm, not including drive time. Registration is complete once you have completed the online application and paid the fee in full through the Cobb County Extension Office. Space is limited and registration will remain open until August 12 or when all spaces are filled. You can mark your calendar for these program dates: August 27-Master Naturalist Orientation, Fridays in September: September 11, September 18, September 25.   • Jun 30 ServSafe Manager Certification Training and Exam - Spalding County Are you a new food service manager who needs their ServSafe certification? Or has it been 5 years and you need to renew your ServSafe certification? Register today for the nationally recognized ServSafe Manager Certification training and exam. The content for this training will be delivered in one day with the exam directly following completion of course material. The course topics include food safety at all stages, facilities and pest management, cleaning and sanitizing, and more! Cost: $150, includes 5 hours of in-person instruction with a 1-hour lunch break (on your own), course book, study materials, certification exam, drinks and snacks during the training. Payment is accepted over the phone or in person. Course book and study materials must be picked up no later than June 16, 2026 for you to study before the training and exam date. To receive your certification, you need to receive a score of 70% or higher. If you do not pass the exam, you may re-test within 30 days for an additional $70.
