Get ready for the best week of your life at 4-H summer camp!

Georgia's 4-H summer camping program, administered through the county offices of UGA Cooperative Extension, offers a 4-H summer camping experience unparalleled in the nation. Over 8,000 children, accompanied by over 1,000 adult and teen leaders, annually descend on each of Georgia's unique 4-H centers for a week of camp that will be reflected upon and cherished for years to come. Every camp offers great adventure, friendship and fun, and all seek to develop the camper's Head, Heart, Hands and Health to make him or her a better person.

Georgia 4-H has 5 camping centers:

Rock Eagle - the world's largest 4-H Center View Rock Eagle summer camp video
Wahsega - in the mountains of Georgia
Fortson - just outside of Atlanta
Burton 4-H Center - on the beach at Tybee Island
Camp Jekyll - on the beach at Jekyll Island

Lowndes County Camp Dates:

5th & 6th grade (Cloverleaf 4-Hers)

Cloverleaf Camp 2023 at Rock Eagle: June 12-16, 2023

7th and 8th grade (Junior 4-Hers)

Junior Camp 2023 at Fortson: July 3-7, 2023

9th-12th grade (Senior 4-Hers)

Senior Extreme Camp 2023 at Rock Eagle week 1: June 5-9, 2023 (a more primitive camping experience)
Senior Extreme Camp 2023 at Rock Eagle week 2: June 12-16, 2023 (a more primitive camping experience)

Camp sign up date is March 3 at the 4-H office. More information will be given during 5th grade in school club meetings and on UGA Extension Lowndes County 4-H facebook page.
