The Lowndes County Extension Office offers a variety of services including soil and water testing. We provide educational programs, information, and assistance to citizens of Lowndes County through telephone consultations, farmer/homeowner site visits, news articles, and collaboration with other agencies. 2026 Dougherty County Master Gardener Training

Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteer program is designed to train volunteers to assist UGA Cooperative Extension Agents in providing unbiased, researched-based horticulture education to the public. The prospective master gardener agrees to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours within a year following the completion of training in extension approved projects.
