Sweet potatoes are considered a long season crop and Georgia’s long, hot summers allow them to grow and mature well here.   • Jun 8 - Jun 13 Wilderness Challenge Camp At Wahsega Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime with Georgia 4-H Wilderness Challenge Camp (WCC)! This thrilling week of camp is designed for middle schoolers who are prepared to unplug, get outside, and test their survival skills. Campers will dive into real outdoor adventures like hiking rugged trails, building confidence through team challenges, learning wilderness survival skills, and taking part in exciting outdoor activities that push them just outside their comfort zone—in the best way possible. *To attend, your child must be in the 6th to 8th grade for the current 2025-2026 school year. *6th graders must be 12 years old by the date of the rafting trip during their week of camp.
