Row Crop Updates

2026 Screven County Production Meeting Information

Screven County Extension 2026 production meetings have been scheduled and the meeting information is listed below.  

  • The cotton meeting will be held on February 26, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Screven County Extension Office.  The UGA specialist that will be presenting at the meeting are Dr. Camp Hand, Cotton Agronomist and Dr. Phillip Roberts, Cotton Entomologist.  If you would like to attend, please call the office at 912-564-2064 by Friday February 20th so we can have an accuract head count for the catered meal.  
  • The peanut meeting will be held on March 04, 2026 at 6:00 pm at the Screven County Extension Office.  The UGA specialist that will be presenting at the meeting are Dr. Scott Monfort, Peanut Agronomist,  Dr. Bob Kemerait, Peanut Disease Pathologist and Dr. Wesley Porter, Precision Ag and Irrigation.  If you would like to attend, please call the office at 912-564-2064 by Friday February 27th so we can have an accurate head count for the catered meal.  
  • The row crop weed managment meeting will be held on February 19, 2026 at noon at the Bulloch County Extension Office.  The UGA specialist that will be presenting at the meeting are Dr. Stanley Culpepper, Cotton Weed Specialist and Dr. Eric Prostko, Peanut Weed Specialist.  If you would like at attend, please call the Bulloch County Extension Office at 912-871-6130 by Tuesday, February 17, 2026 so they can have an accurate head count for the catered meal.
