What is 4-H?

As America’s largest youth development organization,   4-H provides experiences for young people to learn by doing.  4-H’ers complete hands-on projects in our focus areas of Agriculture and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Healthy Living, and Civic Engagement.  4-H students receive guidance from adult mentors and are empowered with the skills to lead for a lifetime.  Lessons taught, experiences shared and information presented in Georgia 4-H are based on the scientific research of the University of Georgia and Fort Valley State University.

Who is 4-H?

4-H is a community for ALL kids.  For more than 100 years, 4-H has welcomed young people of all beliefs and backgrounds, giving kids a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better.  4‑H’s reach and depth are unmatched, reaching kids in every corner of America – from urban neighborhoods to suburban schoolyards to rural farming communities.
