Meet the Staff!

Ms. Lauren, Elbert County 4-H Agent, has a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business & Animal Science and a Master of Agricultural Leadership. She is currently working on her doctorate in Agricultural Leadership, Education & Communication at the University of Georgia, also her alma mater. She joined Elbert County Extension in 2006 and loves watching the growth of students from Cloverleaf to Senior levels, developing their passions, and becoming masters in an area. Project Achievement, agriculture/animals undertakings and outdoor recreation are her favorite 4-H activities. She lives on a farm in Elbert County with horses, cows, chickens, pigs, dogs, a donkey and a cat.

Alex Jones, 4-H Program Assistant, is also from Elberton. She graduated from Young Harris College in 2006 with an Associate’s of Arts degree with a focus in Art History, and went on to graduate with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Sociology from Piedmont University. She has worked in Social Services as a case manager for over twelve years. She joined Elbert County 4-H in October of 2024 to pursue her passion for working with the Elbert County students and sharing her love of outdoor activities and education with them.
