Meet the Staff!

Ms. Lauren, Elbert County 4-H Agent, has a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business & Animal Science and a Master of Agricultural Leadership. She is currently working on her doctorate in Agricultural Leadership, Education & Communication at the University of Georgia, also her alma mater. She joined Elbert County Extension in 2006 and loves watching the growth of students from Cloverleaf-Senior levels, developing their passions and becoming masters in an area. Project Achievement, agriculture/animals undertakings and outdoor recreation are her favorite 4-H activities. She lives on a farm in Elbert County with horses, cows, chickens, pigs, dogs, a donkey and a cat.

Alex Jones, 4-H Program Assistant, is also from Elberton. She graduated from Young Harris College in 2006 with an Associate’s of Arts degree with a focus in Art History, and went on to graduate with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Minor in Sociology from Piedmont University. She has worked in Social Services as a case manager for over twelve years. She joined Elbert County 4-H in October of this year to pursue her passion for working with the Elbert County students and sharing her love of outdoor activities and education with them.
