Livestock Showing - Website

 

Livestock Showing involves purchasing, raising, and taking an animal to shows across the state. Youth in 4-H can show cattle, hogs, sheep, or goats.

Sheep showing begins in 1st grade. Goat showing begins in 1st grade. Hog showing begins in 3rd grade. Beef showing begins in 4th grade.

Livestock are purchased in March-May, and the showing season begins in the summer. Livestock showing is a six-month to full-year project.
