Soil and Water Services
Soil Tests
The Agricultural and Environmental Services Laboratory in Athens provides testing for soil analysis, plant tissue analysis, water quality, pesticides, hazardous waste, feeds, and forages. To take a soil sample: Pick up soil bag from our office, fill soil to the line, and drop back off. Include your address, email and the crop your test is for. The cost for testing is $6.00. Shipping costs vary.
- 1 sample: $7 for shipping
- 2-5 samples: $9 for shipping
- 6-10 samples: $10 for shipping
- 11-15 samples: $11 for shipping
- 16-25+ samples: $15 for shipping
Water Tests
To get a water test, pick up water container from office to hold your sample. Drop back off at our office and let us know what you want to test for. Cost varies depending on the test.
