SUMMER CAMPS

Summer Day Camps @ various places during the months of June and July.

Cloverleaf Camp @ Rock Eagle June 4-8, 2018

Current 4th (Must be 9 years of age), 5th, & 6th Graders can register to attend Cloverleaf Camp held at Rock Eagle. Please sign up as soon as possible since spaces are limited due to transportation. Reserve your spot today! Mandatory parent meeting will be March 14, 2018 @ 5:30 PM.

  • $280.00 fee includes lodging, transportation, meals, camp t-shirt, insurance and all camp activities.
  • Installment plan available upon approval with a $100.00 deposit plus payment plans available and camp scholarships
  • Camp applications need to be filled out and brought into the Whitfield County Extension Office.

Junior Camp @ Fortson June 18-22, 2018

Current 7th & 8th graders may register now for Junior camp held at Fortson! Activities include visiting Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, Stone Mountain, and much more! Reserve your spot today.

Senior Camp @ Rock Eagle July 2-6, 2018

Current High School Students may register now for senior camp @ Rock Eagle. Activities include a field trip to the UGA Campus, 4th of July picnic, swimming & recreation.

  • $360.00 fee includes lodging, transportation, meals, insurance and all camp activities.
  • Installment plan available upon approval with a $100.00 deposit plus payment plans available and camp scholarships

CONGRATS WHITFIELD COUNTY 4-H’ERS!

2017 Forestry Judging

Our Whitfield County 4-H Forestry Judging Team, lead and coached by Kandi Edwards, swept the Northeast Area competition by placing 1st in the junior division. Team members were Isaac Castillo, Karen Garcia, Adrianna Hernandez, Kristy Aros (Sr) & Zoe Zhou.

2017 Consumer Judging/Cotton Boll

Our Whitfield County 4-H Consumer Judging/ Cotton Boll teams worked hard in preparing for the contest. Team members include: Kristy Aros, Logan Bradley, Ariely Duarte, Aryana Duarte, Isaiah Duarte, Karen Garcia, Adrianna Hernandez, Rafael Hernandez, Mercedes Landaverde, Carlos Perez, Maria Rosa Perez, Isaias Serrato, Zondra Shelton, and Zoe Zhou.

 

How do I join?

Contact the Whitfield County Extension/4-H at 706-278-8207 or visit us at 104 S Thornton Ave. Fill out a Membership card, sign a Code of Conduct, and complete a Medical Release Form for each event you plan to attend.

Membership guidelines for students: Any person, regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, or disability may enroll as a 4-H member.

Youth who are nine years of age and have not reached their nineteenth birthday on or before January 1, of the current year may enroll in 4-H clubs and groups.

University of Georgia faulty/staff encourage you to pursue involvement in 4-H as you will have access to a world of opportunities.

Adult Volunteer leaders are welcome and needed in all county programs. A registration form and certification process is available in all county
