Paulding County UGA Extension links the resources of the University of Georgia, Fort Valley State University, and Paulding County to provide educational programs, information, and assistance to citizens. Paulding County UGA Extension helps citizens by addressing the following initiatives:

Jun 1 - Aug 12 Applications for the 2026 Northwest Georgia Master Naturalist Program are available The Georgia Master Naturalist Program is a hands-on environmental education course that explores Georgia's habitats and ecosystems and the human impacts on these environments. This 9-week program consists of weekly field trips with in-depth lectures from experts on a variety of environmental and ecological topics. Transportation can be arranged for limited number of participants from one of the three host counties. The program days are from 9:00am to 4:00pm, not including drive time. Registration is complete once you have completed the online application and paid the fee in full through the Cobb County Extension Office. Space is limited and registration will remain open until August 12 or when all spaces are filled. You can mark your calendar for these program dates: August 27-Master Naturalist Orientation, Fridays in September: September 11, September 18, September 25. Thursdays in October: October 1, October 8, October 15, October 22, October 29-30-Overnight-Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center

Aug 3 Continuing Education Units for Private and Commercial Applicators Join us at the Paulding Extension Office on Monday August 3 from 2 pm until 4 pm for an opportunity to earn CEUs for Category 10 (Private) / Category 21 / Category 23 / Category 24 / Category 31 / Category 32 / Commercial & Private Applicators. We will host a proctored session offering 2 hours of CEUs from the Getting the Best of Pests Webinar Series. The fee to attend is $25 and you can sign up online.

Aug 22 Great Southeast Pollinator Census Join Paulding County Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteers on Saturday, August 22 at the Paulding County Extension Office for a Great Southeast Pollinator Census session in the Pollinator gardens. You will become a citizen scientist! We'll start at 11 am-Come prepared to learn about insects in the garden! We'll be outdoors so dress for the weather. We'll help with identification and recording your observations!
