Every year 4-H offers away camps for 4th-12th graders. You might head to Rock Eagle, the largest 4-H center in the world, the north Georgia mountains, the beach, or Atlanta. Hope to see you there!

How to Register

  1. Complete the registration form (links for each camp above).  Please complete a form for each camper and camp you would like to attend.
  2. Submit a deposit for each week of camp you have registered ($100 deposit for each camp).  Payment can be accepted by check or cash. 
  3. Full camp balance is due before the first day of camp.  Payment plans are available.

Camp Scholarships

We have limited full and partial camp scholarships available for Cloverleaf Camp, Junior Camp, Senior Camp, and Other Camps.  

Scholarship applications for all overnight camps are due March 3, 2020.

Directions:

  1. Complete this application form (please print clearly); incomplete applications will not be considered.
  2. Complete the online summer camp registration form.
  3. Return the application by March 3, 2020 to Jackie Nunn at jrnunn@uga.edu. After this date, scholarships will be accepted and awarded on a rolling basis as funds are available.
  4. A deposit will be due at the time of submitting your scholarship application to secure a camp spot for your child. If your child is not selected to receive a scholarship and you no longer want to send your child to camp, your deposit will be refunded in full. If your child is selected for a full scholarship, your deposit will be refunded.
  5. NOTE: Returning this application DOES NOT guarantee a spot for camp, or guarantee a scholarship.

Criteria and details:

  1. Scholarships are available for Cloverleaf (4th-6th grade), Junior (7th-8th grade), and Senior (9th-12th grade) camps.
  2. Scholarships are based on need and participation level in Putnam County 4-H.
  3. Number and amount of scholarships available are based on amount of donations/funding we receive.
  4. After scholarships are awarded, the remainder of camp payment must be paid by May 18th, 2020. Recipients are responsible for paying reminder of the cost of camp not covered by the scholarship.
  5. Notification of scholarship decisions will be made as soon as possible before April 1 and as funds become available.

Leadership Roles

Adults

We are looking for enthusiastic adult leader volunteers to go with us to Cloverleaf Camp. You will stay in the cabin with 4-H'ers, assist the counselors with classes and help with other assigned duties.

We are especially in need of male adult volunteers to join us for a week of camp! Please contact Jackie Nunn at jrnunn@uga.edu if you are intested in volunteering with Putnam County 4-H.

Teen Leaders

Calling all teen leaders! We are searching for outgoing, fun teen leaders to attend Cloverleaf Camp! You will stay in the cabin with 4-H'ers, assist the counselors with classes and help with other assigned duties. Chosen applicants will be required to attend the 4-H Certified Teen Leader Training, if not already done so prior to attending camp. Teen Leaders must participate in Project Achievement in order to be considered for the camp teen leader position.

Refunds

The last day to request a refund is March 31, 2022.  Refund requests must be made in writing.  After this date, refunds for camp fees will only be given in the case of illness or injury (accompanied by a doctors note), death in the immediate family, or other extenuating circumstances (handled on a case-by-case basis). These refunds must be sent to the state for a case review, and will be given upon approval. Refunds are not given for "no shows" or early departures due to homesickness, illness, or discipline.
