4-H Garden Club

The Carroll County 4-H  Gardeners is a program for children ages 7-12 interested in gardening. We do a variety of activities including planting herbs and vegetables, identifying types of seeds, analyzing soil, discovering and planning for pollinators, and learning about the plants in the Buffalo Creek Garden. We meet on the second Monday of each month from Sept. - May from 4:00-5:30. Join us for this FREE program. Click the link below for more information and sign-up forms.

Camp Dirty Knees was started in 2005 as a kickoff to the Gardening program and has been a summer tradition with many of the children. We choose a different theme every year and the children have fun being outside planinting, walking the Buffalo Creek Nature trail, and digging in the dirt. Every year, our roster of 45 campers is full and often has a waiting list.
