Get educated about Coronavirus (COVID-19): The CDC and USDA offer the latest guidelines for preventing the spread of the virus and answers to many questions. UGA provides information about health, travel, emergency preparedness and campus operations through their website. UGA Extension offers resources on sanitizing your home, hand washing, emergency food supplies, and keeping farm operations running.

Due to the effects of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, the Appling County Extension Office will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

We will continue to work and are available for your Agriculture, Family & Consumer Sciences, or 4-H needs.

We are still processing soil samples as long as the lab in Athens remains open. Bring your soil sample to the office and call or knock and an Extension Staff member will help you.

All local, in-person 4-H activities are canceled until further notice. District and State events are being evaluated. 4-H Summer Camp is still planned; however, we will not be taking payments at this time.

We will continue to be here and serve Appling County residents and will update you with more information as it becomes available.
