Summer Camp
4-H Summer Camp Registration Begins February 1!
Over 8,000 children ages 9 and up, accompanied by over 1,000 adult and teen leaders, travel annually to Georgia’s unique 4-H centers for a week of camp that will be remembered and cherished for years to come. Each camp offers adventure, friendship, and fun, and all seek to develop the camper’s Head, Heart, Hands and Health to make him or her a better person. This summer, Emanuel County 4-H is offering six different camping experiences for youth in 4th-12th grades!
Fundraisers and scholarships are available to assist with camp costs. Contact Emanuel County Extension for more information or check out the FAQ's below!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
There's a waiting list for the camp that I'd like to attend. Should I still register?
Yes! We fully expect more spots to open up both as a result of withdrawals and when other counties fail to fill all of their spaces. You should register to ensure that your name is at the top of the list when those spaces become available! Please continue to monitor your email as we will notify you as soon as that happens. You will have 5 days to pay the deposit before that spot is offered to the next camper in line. Unfortunately, you cannot apply for a scholarship or participate in the fundraiser until you are off the waiting list and will have to wait until the deposit is paid.
How/where do I pay the $100 deposit?
Deposits may be paid by cash, money order, or check made out to Emanuel County Extension/4-H. It may be paid in person at our office located at 129 N Anderson Drive in Swainsboro during regular business hours (8-12, 1-5, M-F), left in our dropbox outside of those hours, or mailed.
How do we apply for a scholarship?
Scholarship applications are available to any of our 4-H’ers and can be picked up when the $100 deposit is paid. We will award at least 10 scholarships this year. If more than 10 scholarship applications are received, they are scored by a committee. The scores are based on the 4-Her’s responses to why they want to attend camp, what activities they’ve participated in, a teacher recommendation, and statement of need. The deadline to submit scholarships is Friday, April 5, 2024. Scholarship decisions are shared with applicants by April 19.
What kind of fundraisers are available?
To assist 4-H’ers in paying for camp, a sponsorship form can be picked up once the deposit is paid. The sponsorship form consists of 26 spaces numbered 1-26. If the 4-H’er can obtain an individual to sponsor their trip to camp for the amount listed on each square, they can raise a total of $350. There is no deadline to participate in the fundraiser.
I didn't pay the $100 deposit within 5 days. Can I still go to camp?
If you would like to remain on the wait list, you may complete the online registration again or contact us to have your registration placed in the queue.
